The country of Ghana clearly has built a robust food processing industry, that includes fruits and vegetables as well as fish. However, it seems that production of some of these factories has fallen to zero as one person, according to the President Mr Akufo-Addo, spread the virus to 533 others at the factory. This one factory with 533 positive and identified cases of COVID-19 accounts for 11.2% of the entire country – but the numbers are rising fast. The President said 22 people have died and the health services are working overtime to ensure that this sickness is contained and fully eradicated. There have been 160,501 tests administered to the general population, as the President is easing the prolonged lockdown in the two major cities, Accra and Kumasi, to allow the economy to recover. There are questions about the number of reported cases in the west African country. Still, schools and universities remain closed.
