Spain is now allowing citizens to leave their homes for exercise and limited contact with others in their immediate areas. Please read the following:
Starting today, people older than 14 can take one-hour walks, accompanied by one person, once a day within half a mile of their homes, or do sports like riding a bike alone within their city. This is a directive from the government.
They are allowed to do this from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.The elderly had their turn a little later, with a special timetable to avoid crowds: from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Spain has the strictest rules in Europe for tackling the coronavirus pandemic, these rules remain in place until May 9. This current easing of restrictions if called Phase 0 of the new normal in social order.
We are concerned that this war on the coronavirus will be much like the war on terror, when governments overreact on everything from flying to social distancing to relations with other countries. Remember when it was fashionable to use the phrase “open borders” at every cocktail party?
