The number of newly infected COVID-19 patients is slowly rising in Europe and of course this is directly related to the increase in opening their economies. Despite the rise in new cases, equity markets are rising – economic activity is now showing up in the released statistics.
In the US, each day the numbers reported in Texas, Florida and South Carolina spike higher with 45,000 newly infected Americans reported on one day yesterday. As beaches and bars opened, and health clubs opened, the number of new cases of COV ID-19 just spikes higher and higher. Houston, Texas is a big city with diversity in its population and its police force, but one key point changed the city this week.
There was an explosion of newly infected COVID-19 patients visiting hospitals. There were several large rallies that were most of all, peaceful. Within two weeks, the numbers started to rise, and they are still rising fast. Both Europe and the US are seeing more economic activity and jobs are being created, people are living what seems to be a more normal life – and COVID-19 is now visiting us again. It never ends.
